The College of Liberal Arts has three fonts as part of our core brand identity, each with different uses:
These fonts should be used on all marketing materials, including websites, and are encouraged in any external communications.
The University launched a new Find Your Energy brand in Fall 2023 that replaces individual college VBLs. Reference the updated brand guidelines on the CSU Brand website.
The content below is being kept as a reference for CLA websites still using the 2020 VBL. We appreciate your patience as we update all CLA websites to reflect the new university-wide brand.

City Streetwear
Accent font
City Streetwear is the College’s accent font. This script font is an optional design enhancement, ideal for social media and print materials. The font is a sophisticated version of handwriting and should be used sparingly to not infringe on legibility. The font should not be used for body copy.
City Streetwear is a licensed font, which means users must pay for use. The College has purchased one license for each department to be used by their communicator. If you have questions about accessing your department’s license, contact Nicolle.McMurray@colostate.edu. To purchase additional licenses, visit MyFonts.com.

Additional University Fonts
The University uses different font families, as detailed on their branding website. The College of Liberal Arts transitioned away from these fonts because they are only available with a paid license. When partnering with a unit outside of the college, you may expect to use these fonts in place of the CLA ones.
- Vitesse: Modern serif font for strategic headlines
- Proxima Nova: Versatile sans serif font that can be used in headlines or body copy. It is included in Adobe Creative Suite subscriptions
- Elena: Serif font that works for large blocks of body copy
